Delaware Valley Residential Care is currently seeking a Shift Supervisor to support and motivate our Resident Care Assistants.



  • Able to maintain organization and direction of the care for all participants.
  • Able to serve as a liaison between care staff and all other departments within the facility.
  • Ensure cleanliness of all homes
  • Ensure all cleaning schedules are followed and completed for each shift
  • Maintain communication with other departments & take notes of any problems seen on shift
  • Ensure all residents are provided with the appropriate care according to individualized treatment plan.
  • Ensure appropriate communication between staff and program participants
  • Ensure house rules are followed at all times
  • Ensure all laundry schedules are followed and laundry is completed
  • Maintain daily spot checks and rounds
  • May assist with transportation of program participants to hospital or any necessary medical appointments in provided company vehicle (Valid Driver's License is required)
  • Ensure constant and continuous safety of all residents
  • Handle all behaviours during the scheduled shift
  • Ensure all participants are in their correct homes with corresponding staff based on Assignment Sheet
  • Report any medical concerns or questions to Nurse on duty
  • Ensure all staff are following their Assignment (based on Assignment Sheet posted for each shift)
  • Ensure all necessary paper work is completed and turned in to the appropriate channels
  • Ensure all participants are awake and present for meal and group activities.
  • Ensure all shower schedules are followed
  • Maintain oversight for all departments on duty (when no other Management is present:  Overnight, Weekend shift)
  • Report all incidents (Staff/ residents) to the appropriate channels.
  • Must be able to delegate tasks to RCA staff (Resident Care Assistants)
  • Ensure that RCA's are providing appropriate care to participants while on shift
  • Ensure that staff on duty is maintaining a level of professionalism when interacting with program participants as well as professionalism between co-workers
  • Ensure that RCA's are respecting participant's Privacy / HIPPA policy as well as not discussing personal matters between participants or staff
  • Complete shift report and proper paperwork for House Manager Daily
  • All other duties as assigned

  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
  • Three years of supervisory or relevant experience.
  • Equivalent education/experience may substitute at the discretion of the college.
  • Attention to details and management skills
  • Ability to give directions and instructions to staff
  • Supervising experience in a healthcare setting

  • Must have clean criminal background check
  • Must pass a drug screen
  • Other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor
